General Studies
The general
studies curriculum is designed for students who wish to explore a broad
range of subjects and interests. Maximum flexibility
in the choice of courses is permitted. This is often the program of
choice for students who seek education as a lifelong endeavor.
• Students may be waived from the HDEV 101 requirement if they have attained 12 or more credits, with a minimum 2.5 GPA from either 1) a college/university previously attended or 2) Asnuntuck Community College and now desire to enter a Liberal Arts or General Studies program of study. If waived, a three credit course must be chosen from the Social and Behavioral Sciences Electives (ANT*, ECN*, HIS*, POL*, PSY*, SOC*) to meet the total credit count for the degree program.
