Fall 2009

Transfer Tuesdays

Dates to be Announced

Transfer Planning

  • Students intending to transfer should meet with their Academic Advisor and the Transfer Counselor as early as their first semester. Once a program of study has been selected, students are encouraged to meet with their program advisor every semester to make sure they are fulfilling major requirements and enrolling in courses transferable to their chosen school(s).

  • Each semester, follow up with the Transfer Counselor to be updated about any changes in requirements or offerings at colleges and universities across the region.

  • Before applying, visit schools offering the chosen major in order to preview housing options, learn about work-study opportunities, and feel if a school's location and atmosphere are a good fit. College tours are provided to potential students year round.

Transfer Admission

Most colleges admit students for both fall and spring terms through either semester deadlines or a

rolling admissions process. These dates can usually be found on the Transfer Admissions section

of the college website. When ready to apply, application forms can be found online and are

available along with college catalogs, programs of study, and semester schedules.

Transfer of Asnuntuck Credits

To apply for transfer credit, file a “Transcript Request Form” with the Asnuntuck Records Office,

which will send transcripts to your designated schools. Upon receipt of the application and

transcripts, courses are evaluated to determine which satisfy the school’s General Education

Requirements (GERs), major, and elective requirements. All courses are accepted for transfer

credit at the discretion of the receiving school.
