H1N1 Virus Information
If you have been diagnosed with the H1N1 virus, please notify the Dean of Students Office at (860) 253-3020 or abaron@acc.commnet.edu. In addition, contact all of your instructors to notify them of the illness. They will work with you to set up a plan to complete any missed work. It is important to stay home until your doctor confirms that you are no longer contagious. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Please remember the following tips to prevent colds and flu:
- Cough & sneeze into your elbow
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water (a minimum of 15-20 seconds is recommended)
- Use hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth without washing or using hand sanitizer first
- Stay home if you are sick and avoid contaminating your co-workers and classmates
