Begin your journey NOW into the exciting and rewarding field of health care!

Asnuntuck Community College is pleased to offer a new statewide Health Careers Pathways Certificate Program, and you can start by registering for Investigations in Health Careers during the Spring 2008 semester.

The 28-credit certificate program will prepare you with the foundation necessary to pursue a career in health care.  The program includes the following courses:

HLT* 103 – Investigations in Health Careers

ENG* 101 – Composition

MAT* 137– Intermediate Algebra

BIO* 121 – General Biology I

CHE* 111 – Concepts of Chemistry

PSY* 111 – General Psychology I

BIO* 211 – Anatomy & Physiology I

BIO* 212 – Anatomy & Physiology II    

Students completing this certificate will be prepared to apply to health care degree or certificate programs in areas such as:

Medical Assistant                                                    

Registered Nurse

Physical Therapy Assistant                                     

Respiratory Care Therapist

Radiological Technology
