FOR FACULTY AND STAFF

INFORMATION LITERACY INSTRUCTION (IL)

Reference librarians provide instruction to help students become information literate, by showing them how to use library resources, including the LRC Web Site and its many databases, when doing research. They also explain how to search the Internet in order to find reliable sites. IL (formerly LI, Library Instruction), usually takes place in computer labs, and includes hands-on time. IL sessions can be tailored to your class's specific needs. If you are interested in requesting an IL session, please either fill-out the IL request form located at the Circulation Desk or print out and return this IL/LI Form to the LRC
