Asnuntuck Poetry Club

The Asnuntuck Poetry Club meets throughout the semester, every three weeks, with an extra meeting at the end of the semester, for an hour of reading and discussing poetry.

We also sponsor, with Asnuntuck's poetry magazine Freshwater, an annual poetry contest and a reading by the winners of the contest at the Freshwater Poetry Festival. Keep your eye out for more information on the Festival, which will be in May 2008.

We will meet in Room 219 from 4:00 - 5:00 PM on the following Mondays. Bring six copies of a poem you have read and enjoyed, so you can share it with the group.

Refreshments will be served. The last meeting of the semester, December 10, is set aside for those who write poetry to bring their own work for discussion, although everyone is welcome to participate in the discussion.  You do not have to write poetry to enjoy the poetry club!
