| For immediate release, November 8, 2006 Tufts University all male a cappella group to sing Nov. 17 at Asnuntuck Community College Enfield, CT-- Asnuntuck Community College is pleased to offer a free concert to the community. The award winning, all male a cappella group from Tufts University, The Beelzebubs, will perform on Friday, November 17 at 11:30 a.m. in Asnuntuck’s Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public. Cuts from their latest CD, Shedding, can be heard on WACC, 107.7 fm over the next two weeks as well as on the ‘Bubs’ website –www.bubs.com/album2005Shedding.asp The Beelzebubs were founded in 1962 when a group of Tufts men gathered to sing in West Hall in preparation for the Tufts traditional “winter sing.” Their first song was an original version of Winter Wonderland. By the end of 1964, they had recorded their first album, performed with the Boston Pops, and traveled to New York City to perform. They have grown in popularity throughout New England and over the last few years, they have performed at Fenway Park, DisneyWorld, the United States embassies in France and England and appeared on the Late Night with David Letterman.
