Two College Courses to be offered at Ellington High School starting Sept. 7th

Asnuntuck Community College is pleased to offer two credit courses at Ellington High School this fall.  This is an excellent opportunity for you to take an interesting course and earn some college credits. Both of these courses will transfer to four year colleges, provided they are completed with a grade of "C" or better. The courses are offered to the general public.

 The times and course descriptions are listed below. Monday & Thursday, 3:00-4:25 p.m.PSY M111  General Psychology I, 3 creditsGeneral Psychology is a survey course that provides an overview of introductory topics in the science of psychology.  Topics include historical and scientific origins, research, biological foundations, learning, memory, thinking, motivation, emotion, intelligence, life span development, and social psychology. Text book is included. 

Monday & Thursday, 3:00-4:25 p.m.BBG M101    Introduction to Business, 3 creditsIntroduction to Business provides a basic overview of the structure of business organizations, large and small.  The course will review distinguishing features of sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations. The course covers all aspects of organizing a business. This is an excellent course for someone whishing an overview of business, or for the person who has not worked extensively in a business and wishes to get a solid background. Text book cost $143.50. The fees for the course are as follows:

Tuition & Fees $409.00 Application fee $20 Classes will begin on Thursday, September 7. College personnel will be available at Ellington High School on September 1 and September 6 from 10:30 to 12:15 to help you register or you may register online at www.acc.commnet.edu or at the college. Please bring a check or credit card to pay at the time of registration.
