"Logical Calculus”: Poetry Students to Read at Asnuntuck Coffee House
Enfield, CT-- Asnuntuck Community College students from Edwina Trentham’s creative writing poetry class will be reading their work at a coffee house at the College, 170 Elm Street, on Monday, November 19. Throughout the semester, students have been reading and writing poetry in different forms, exploring sonnets, villanelles, terza rimas, rimas dissolutas, and syllabics. The following students will be sharing their work in a coffee house setting in Cafeteria II, beginning at 8:00 PM: Corey Aretz, Tori Baltronis, Mike Ciervo, Kate Dion, Toni Duncan, Kyle Falkowski, Vivianne Grabinski, Anna Guarco, Lynn Hoffman, Jessica Ledue, Jay Lemire, Matt Niewola, Elizabeth Szewczyk, Adam Varnet, Kara Villone, and Bill Washburn. Before the reading and during the intermission, Mike Ciervo and Bill Washburn will play guitar music. A music and poetry open mic will follow the reading, which is sponsored by Asnuntuck's poetry magazine, Freshwater. The reading is free and open to the public.
