New Faculty Join Asnuntuck

Asnuntuck hired two new full-time faculty and a minority fellow for the start of the fall semester. Rachael Ghani, 2006 minority fellow, joins ACC with much community college experience. Rachael holds a B.F.A in Visual Communications Design from The University of Hartford and an M.A. in Marketing Communications from Vermont College of Norwich University. She is President of GraphicWit LLC and has also taught at MCC.

Heidi Fitzgerald was hired as a Full-Time Lecturer beginning August 25th. Heidi has taught several semesters at ACC as an adjunct in accounting. In her new assignment, she will be teaching in Business. Heidi holds a B.S. in Management from George Mason University, as well as a MBA from the same institution. She has worked in the private sector at Aetna, and as a project team leader for American Management Systems.

Van Farrier will join Asnuntuck as a Full-Time Instructor also beginning August 25th. Van holds a B.A. in Theater Arts from the University of California and a M.F.A. in Acting and Directing from The University of Houston. He has extensive theater experience ranging from directing summer theater at Mount Holyoke College to directing and founding the Majestic Theater Children's Theater Program. In addition to directing experience, he is a professional actor with credits in N.Y., Los Angeles, and Yale Repertory, and has theatrical performance experience in shows such as Comedy of Errors, Of Mice and Men, and Romeo and Juliet to name a few. He brings a wealth of knowledge in the design and technical field as well as a member of the Emmy Award Winner Design Team for Best Costume Design for The Young and the Restless.
