| For immediate release- April 23, 2007 Asnuntuck Community College Honors Enfield, CT—Asnuntuck Community College’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, an internationally-recognized honor society, inducted thirteen students at a ceremony on Friday, April 20. These students obtained the required 3.65 GPA and have completed at least 18 hours of study at Asnuntuck. The students included: Shui Chun Chung, Sarah Clark, Carissa Figelski, Lauren Fisk, Lindy Freistat, Joannah Keats, Denise Lanouette, Fernanda Mehta, Patricia Nemeth, Aneta Niedziela, Loretta Rampelli, Renee Schools, and Christina Stevens. Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, headquartered in Jackson, is the largest honor society in American higher education with 1,200 chapters on two-year and community college campuses in all 50 of the United States, Canada, Germany, the Republic of Palau, the British Virgin Islands and U.S. territorial possessions. More than two million students have been inducted since its founding in 1918, with approximately 100,000 students inducted annually.
