Asnuntuck student receives high honors

Enfield,CT--Rebecca Gutierrez, a resident of Suffield, attended Asnuntuck Community College for four years and will graduate in June with an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts. In 2004, Rebecca won the Freshwater poetry contest with her poem, “Civil War in El Salvatore”. She has been accepted to Smith College on a full scholarship and plans to major in American Studies. Rebecca was named to Phi Theta Kappa’s All- USA Academic Team and was selected as Asnuntuck’s student for the Academic Day at the State Capital.
