| For immediate release, November 21, 2006 “Poets and Musicians Among Us”: December 4 Coffee House Enfield, CT--Asnuntuck Community College’s final Coffee House for the Fall semester will feature an evening of poetry by Asnuntuck Faculty and Staff and music by students in Judy Simonds’ guitar class. The coffee house will be on December 4 from 8:00- 10:00 pm in Café II. The readers include Elaine Folkers, Professor Emeritus, Math and Computer Information Systems; Sarah Garrett, Dean of Academic Affairs; Sherry Gelbwasser, Librarian; Fran Rago, Adjunct Instructor in Anatomy and Physiology; John Sheirer, Professor of English; Elizabeth Szewczyk, Adjunct Instructor in English; Edwina Trentham, Professor of English; and Eileen Witkop, Adjunct Instructor in English. Guitar students from Judy Simonds’ class include Meghan Ahearn, Andrew Berube, Christopher Champagne, Jason Colapietro, Gail Dumas, Halli Hunderfund, Geoffrey Katulka, Mark Kozloski, Garrick Phillips, Justin Smith, Matthew Sullivan, Joshua Unghire, and John Unghire IV. The presentation will alternate poetry and music, and will be followed by an open poetry and music mic. The Coffee House is sponsored by Asnuntuck's poetry magazine, Freshwater, and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served, and copies of the magazine will be on sale.
