For immediate release- October 22, 2007Attorney Joseph Fallon donates law books to Asnuntuck Community College’s Library Resource CenterEnfield, CT—Attorney Joseph Fallon has generously donated five different volumes of law reference books to Asnuntuck Community College’s Library Resource Center. These volumes represent a comprehensive compilation of Connecticut case law and the foundation of a law library for the College. They are already supporting the research needs of students taking courses in the Business, Criminal Justice, and Human Services programs which have a legal component, and they will support the development of additional new courses or programs in related areas. All volumes are in excellent condition and have been cataloged and shelved in the LRC's Reference collection (call numbers are indicated below). The most recent volumes or issues of each title are available to Asnuntuck students in the online database LexisNexis Academic, which the LRC subscribes to through the state-supported iCONN program. The following titles were donated: (1) Connecticut Reports, volumes 1-259 (cases decided by the Connecticut Supreme Court) - REF KFC3645 .A23 The total cost for the College to purchase the whole set of materials that were donated is just over $14,000. The college appreciates the generosity of Attorney Fallon and will publicly honor him at a reception on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the LRC conference room. Refreshment will be served.
