The State of Connecticut now owns 170 Elm Street, Enfield

Enfield, CT—“Only twelve of the 169 towns in CT can boast that they have a community college in their town,” stated Tim Hurlock, Dean of Administration at Asnuntuck Community College.  Not everyone town is so lucky.  The State of Connecticut (Asnuntuck Community College) closed on the purchase of building located at 170 Elm Street, Enfield Thursday afternoon after renting from the town for 25 years.  Town Manager, Matt Coppler, and Enfield town council members, as well as, college administrators gathered to sign paper work and hand over the $2,010,000.00 check to the town.  The college will celebrate this event next week when the faculty return for the start of the spring semester.
