General Studies
General Studies (Associate in
Science Degree)
The general
studies curriculum is designed for students who wish to explore a broad
range of subjects and interests. Maximum flexibility
in the choice of courses is permitted. This is often the program of
choice for students who seek education as a lifelong endeavor.
Students interested in transferring to a four-year institution may benefit
from a general studies degree with a maximum of acceptable transfer
credits. Early identification
of an upper division school is encouraged to allow for ease of transfer.
Students should contact a transfer counselor or faculty advisor to assist
in this process.
