Industrial Management Technology (Associate in Science Degree)
The industrial management technology curriculum provides a basic background in physics, chemistry, mathematics, technology education, business and management. The curriculum emphasizes education and training in the effective utilization of the human and production resources of an enterprise. The student learns to supervise and coordinate activities of workers, to interpret company policies, to establish and adjust work procedures, to recommend and initiate production improvement methods and personnel actions, and to analyze and resolve industrial problems. Graduates of the industrial management technology curriculum may be employed as section chiefs, group leaders, supervisors, superintendents, forepersons, and department managers.

The objectives of the industrial management technology curriculum are to:

1) Prepare students for career positions in supervision and management of technology oriented industries;

2) Provide students a combination of technical and general education which make them flexible and adaptable to many different types of industrial environments and organizations with minimal in-service or job-specific training; and

3) Provide students a clear passage toward obtaining a bachelor's degree in industrial technology by completing most of the first two years of study for entry into industrial technology programs at the baccalaureate level.
