ACC Foundation Mini-Grant Program

 

Eligible Applicants: Asnuntuck Community College Faculty and Staff

Awards: Requests of up to $500 may be submitted to the ACC Foundation. Smaller requests invited.

Purpose: To support and encourage special projects, programs, speakers or learning activities - Projects must add quality to the education of Asnuntuck Community College students.

Proposals: Requests should be in letter-form addressed to the Board of Directors of Asnuntuck Community College Foundation, Inc. The letter must be a complete description of the project and must include a detailed budget, project directors, and list any collaborators.

Recent mini-grants

  • underwrote development of American History simulations, so that students can learn through role-playing and other personally involving techniques
  •  provided digital technology enhancements to the Early Childhood Education Program
  •  defrayed costs of Community Action Day, which brings faculty, students and staff together for a building project in the community
  •  provided a workshop and poetry reading for the college
  •  brought a visiting writer to campus
  •  helped send a class to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC
  •  created a collage of Paul Robeson memorabilia for public view.
