Business & Industry Programs


Business & Industry Programs provides customized, cost-effective, corporate education and training to employers and organizations. ACC can assess your workforce training needs and tailor a program customized to meet your needs. Programs can include credit or non-credit courses for a wide range of skill levels from managerial, sales, technical, health/clinical to adult basic education and literacy skills. Customized corporate training can offer courses day or evening onsite at employer locations, on campus, or online.

Community Education & Training provides lifelong learning opportunities for students of all ages. We offer short courses, career training, comprehensive certificates and unique programs, both on campus and online.

Asnuntuck Community College's non-credit Workforce Development Career Training Programs are designed for individuals in all stages of life and career.

We offer online and classroom instruction at our Enfield, CT campus. Programs include Allied Health Certificate programs, professional development and personal enrichment courses, youth programs in the form of “Summer College for Kids” and the UTA (University of Third Age) Education for seniors.

Mission: The Department of Workforce Development & Continuing Education staff is dedicated to providing relevant programs and services to the general public, business and industry, nonprofit organizations, professional associations, and others, and to promoting the College as a focus of lifelong learning.

The Department of Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Asnuntuck Community College was established to provide opportunities for lifelong learning for residents of the College's service area.


The division works with other areas of the College, with business and industry, and with community organizations to identify needs and to provide educational programs to meet those needs.


Programs and services include credit and noncredit courses and workshops, consultation and customized training for area businesses and industries, workforce training and retraining programs, and other activities to enhance local economic development efforts.
