Announces: MACHINE TECHNOLOGY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM The program features: Modern Facility
We are accepting applications NOW!! Space is imited to 30 participants. Program Options · Level I Certificate (Pre-semester and Semester One (20 weeks and 550 hrs) 12 College Credits · Levels I + II Certificate (Semesters One and Two (38 weeks and 1,045 hrs) 30 College Credits · Associate in Science: Machine Technology Option (66 College Credits) · B.S. in Industrial Management – Central TBD Students who complete and receive an Associate in Science Degree in Machine Technology from Asnuntuck can apply for status as third year students to CCSU’s School of Technology Degree Program. In summary, a student, once accepted into the Asnuntuck Machine Technology Center, has available a series of educational/technical options ranging from 550 hours, 12 college credits, and entry level employment or 1,045 hours with 30 college credits and higher level technology- focused employment progressing potentially to an associate in science degree at ACC and to a four year degree opportunity at CCSU. It is clear that post-secondary education must take a more serious approach to the realities of school to work for youth and career transition for adults. Our MODEL: a one year certificate program in machine technology with a career focus, set in a community college, 30 college credits, optional internship in the private sector, prospects of career employment within 12 months, entry level earnings of 30+ thousand, career mobility, competitive fringe benefits, and the option to work full-time and/or to achieve an associate in science degree in machine technology.

Recruitment for the summer/fall session begins in late winter/early spring. If you are interested and wish to visit the Machine Technology Center, simply call 860.253.3189. A staff member will arrange a tour and meeting at your convenience. Officials of the Machine Technology Center are also willing to arrange group tours for students, private sector employees/employers, school officials (elementary and secondary), and human services agencies. The mission of the Asnuntuck CC Machine Technology Center is to provide technology and academic education which leads to related and relevant career employment and continuous personal and professional development.
