College Connections Program
The College Connections program is a partnership between Asnuntuck Community College and a number of neighboring school systems. Asnuntuck is leader in manufacturing technology education.The staff have established working relationships with significant numbers of businesses and industries throughout North Central Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. Programs for 2006 - 2007Welding Technology All coursework completed successfully will result in high school and college credit and skill sets which will enable participants after graduation to continue at Asnuntuck Community College in Manufacturing certificate or degree programs and/or transition to career employment in the private sector. Course Schedule for September '07Welding Technology at Windsor Locks High School First Year Students: Welding I, Blueprint Reading, and Benchwork, Welding II, and Blueprint Reading IISecond Year Students:Welding III, Quality Control, Welding IV, Metallurgy Electronics Technology at Asnuntuck Community College First Year Students:Electricity and Electronics Fundamentals, Mechanical and Electrical Print Fundamentals, Benchwork, Circuit Theory, Mathematics for Electricity and Electronics. Machine Technology at Asnuntuck Community College
First Year Students:Benchwork, Blueprint Reading I, Lathe I, Drill Press, Milling I, Blueprint Reading II. All college credits apply towards degree and certificate programs at Asnuntuck Community College and may be applied to the Pathway Programs at CCSU.
