Asnuntuck Community College will be holding a Healthcare Career Open House on Thursday, Aug. 27th from 6-8 p.m. in the President’s Hallway. The evening will include information regarding the 13 Healthcare Career Certificate Programs available at the college as well as light refreshments, free chair massages, a $100 discount on registration and more. The Information Center provides photo ID services for the College during its regularly scheduled hours.  Students are required to obtain their ID card at the time of admission.  Continuing students can obtain an ID verification sticker at the Information Center.  ID cards will be needed to use school computers, to obtain a copy of their schedule, and to attend act

Carr Lane Manufacturing, a recognized world leader for standard tooling components, made a donation of 240 “Trigonometry Tables and Handy References for Engineers” handbooks to Asnuntuck’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center.

A “Super Saturday Registration Blitz” to be held at Asnuntuck Community College on August 22nd will allow students to “Stay Near. Go Far.” with their college education. ACC will be one of the 12 community colleges of the Connecticut State College and Universities (CSCU) system to host this event to help new community college students enroll in fall classes.

Asnuntuck Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center offered Summer College of Technology for Teens for the fourth year in a row. The community college offered four free sessions to 35 students this summer. According to Educational Assistant Rita Moriarty, who coordinated the program, 12 of the students who participated have participated in the program in the past.

Mark and Sheri Hatfield, from Shelton, became first time parents to a son back in 2009. As he grew they enjoyed bringing him to various children's museums. The drawback was that there were none close to their home, which meant long drives. They decided that they wanted to start their own museum.
