Asnuntuck’s President Hosts Politicians on Radio Show

Asnuntuck Community College President Martha McLeod’s radio program Community Connections plays host to a number of guests throughout the year. Her program airs on Asnuntuck’s radio station WACC 107.7.

During the upcoming election season Dr. McLeod has invited candidates vying for local, state, as well as federal house and senate candidates in the eight towns the college covers (East Granby, East Windsor, Ellington, Enfield, Somers, Stafford, Suffield and Windsor Locks) asking them to speak on the program. “The rules are simple,” says President McLeod. “Each person talks about their positions on economic development and education.”  According to McLeod the program allows them share their views on Connecticut higher education and the role of community colleges in economic and workforce development.

The ten minute interviews are scheduled to air multiple times leading up to the election. President McLeod says Community Connections airs at various times throughout the day to ensure that all audiences have an opportunity to hear about topics important to their community.
