Students from Asnuntuck Professor Emeritus Edwina Trentham’s Creative Writing class will read their short stories and poetry, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Coffee House in Café II at Asnuntuck Community College, 170 Elm Street, in Enfield, on Monday, November 19th.
During the past semester, students in the class have been reading and writing stories and poetry about many different subjects, and the audience will have a chance to hear the results—an energetic and imaginative mix of voices and topics. The following students will be sharing their work: Shannon Bizeau from Windsor Locks; Bryan Chamberlain and Patty Nelson from Longmeadow, Massachusetts; Heidi Dube from Granby; Harriet Farney from Ellington; Jennifer Fuller, Morgan Handy, Jen LaRussa, Nick Licitra, Cathy Lynch, Jeremy Mullikin, Matthew Ramsey, Teara Shambo, and Gina Truiolo from Enfield; Jay Thumar from Middletown; Brittany Hube from Suffield; Aleksandar Gnjidic from Agawam, Massachusetts; and Victoria Oliver from Somers.
A poetry open mic will follow the reading, which is sponsored by Asnuntuck's poetry journal, Freshwater. The reading is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served and copies of Freshwater will be on sale. For more information contact Edwina Trentham at 860-253-3105 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
